First i would like to say thanks for an amazing product!
Jamstix is the only program i have ever bought within a couple of minutes after trying out the demo, if Jambace turns out as good, i will definately get that too!
Now on to the suggestions:
1:It would be really cool if there was a small midi tool that could load a midi drum track and jam along with it just as the VST version of Jamstix and then export the midi and or the arrangement for later use in VST Jamstix, so you wouldn't have to run your cubase etc just for that part, would also be good for people who are short on RAM.
2:It would be nice if you could (in Jamstix) specify if you would like it to generate a drum solo.
3:The possibility to generate complete stops (silence) preceeded by a fancy (or simple) fill. (1,2,3,4 etc times in a song)
4:Thematic patterns; a way to assign patterns that Jamstix have created which you like, to an alternating number of bars, by selecting the bars in the Arrangement window, right click and assign.
5:Sequential jam, where you select if it should be a Manual, Free or Keyword Jam it would be nice if you could specify what keywordjams should be loaded and then have Jamstix play through each of the keyword jams sequentially for x amount of bars/beats so you could easier find your favorite ones and which goes well together.
6:The ability to save one bar/beat or any number less than the complete arrangement for later assignment to other projects.
I think this is all for now, sorry if i have brought up something that has already been discussed, which is already applicable (i have only used Jamstix for a week or so) or which will turn your hairs grey

Good idea. Not sure how many people would use it. There's a lot of good hosts out there already with a smaller footprint than Cubase that can do this.

How about muting the bar behind a fill?

You mean something like every 3rd bar should be rhythm #4? Is this supposed to be a shortcut for long arrangements where you don't want to click it together manually in the arranger?

The idea would be, if you have your drum track already in midi you can just load it into this little tool and be able to quickly determine what would sound good and such witout having to load 300-600Mb of software.

Only question here is if it would be a good idea to have the option to have breaks like this as an automated task too?

Yes pretty much as it would save a lot of time if you want the same rhythm repeated every X bars.
It is really good to see how involved you are answering questions, listening to suggestions and keeping us updated, it is very rare these days and confirms my feeling that i made a really good and solid buy! |

The copy/paste feature planned for Jamstix 1.3 should do this nicely. We'll keep you posted.

Thank's Ralph you are doing a great job with the updates and keeping up with all our questions!
I don't use the internal drum sounds that much (not that i don't like them, i just have some really good ones that fit my style better) so is there a way to have jamstix load without the internal drum sound libraries etc?
That way i can just load my vst drums through jamstix and use less ram.

Hi Jonas, just check the 'MIDI-Out Only' checkbox in the mapping tab and Jamstix will unload the internal samples and only send MIDI-Out data that you can route to other drum VSTi.
