I'm using Reaper v4.15/x64 and Jamstix 3.3.0

I am trying to use the bar editor to edit as the bar is playing. I've got the Jamstix window pinned so that it stays on top. The "preview the current bar in a loop" button is turned on. Reaper playback is stopped.

To play the bar in a loop, I have to click in the Reaper window behind the Jamstix window. But every time I make a change to the bar or any of the controls, playback stops, and I have to click in the Reaper window to get it to play again.

I tried the "UNLOCK FROM SONG HOST POSITION", but then I can't get Jamstix to play at all.

Is this normal Jamstix behavior?

Is there a setting that I'm missing?

REAPER Options->Audio->Uncheck 'Close Audio device when stopped and application is inactive'
