I am using Jamstix Classic for a 70's feel R&B tune. I have the fills and accents working. The trouble I am having is getting the snare & kick to play during the groove. It appears in the fills and accents so I know the kit is functioning properly.

In the Snare portion of the Song window I see the 2 & 4 boxes lit, and the Kick has 1 & 3 which is what I want. However, all I am hearing is the hat along with the occasional fill.

What am I doing wrong? I chose the Standard Song as it correlates to my song. I am just not getting any beats other than the hats.

All the sliders in the Kick and Snare are pushed to the far right as defaulted. I tried moving them to see what would happen. But, nothing changes. I am still new to this so I am not sure what I may be missing. I have pressed the Compose button several times and still nothing.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Make sure the song power knob is not all the way left.

I remember that from the tutorials. This was a random click where I clicked off "Active" on Reduction. I don't know what that means. But, all of a sudden I was getting my kick and snare going.

Learning curve..
Thanks!

'Reduction' reduces the groove if the song power is low. Are you using 'Audio Jam'? You may want to switch to 'Normal jam' and move the song power level to 80%.
