So i dicided to map a kit for BFD ECO from scratch and it seems th have worked perfectly !! Very Happy

I started with no drumkit loaded and used the right click load option to load the drums & cymbals i needed and mapped all the articulations from there and it saved & recalls fine, all is good !!

Thanks for the info on modifying existing kits Ralph, i'll try here asap.

Cheers

I think the key is to make sure you don't adjust anything with '<click to load sound>'. Select a sound or 'Subhost' first, then adjust. The next Beta will disable the controls to help with this.

Well, I feel like a complete idiot, but it's all good, because it's not the first time, & won't be the last..... Laughing Finally figured out what I was doing wrong after reading the posts in this thread a few times tonight.....

Sorry for all the confusion Ralph, thanks for the help, saved the kit (started with no kit pieces, added the pieces via "subhost", one by one....thanks Wolf for the explanation.....btw, are you the same Wolfman from the Reaper forum????), mapped it, & it works!!!!

Again, I thought it may have been something I was doing wrong, so I apologize again for all the trouble Embarassed ....

I do have to say, Jamstix is pretty deep/complicated, but the results are better than anything I've ever used for drum programming!!!!!

Thanks again Ralph for all you time & trouble, you're the man!!!!

Cool Wolf,
I've saw quite a few Reaperites here already, & I've only been here a week or so!!! Cool

I do agree, Ralph goes out of his way to make sure we're happy!!!

And I can't believe what a great program JS is, I'd read in the Reaper forum time after time, but always thought "yeah, sure.....", but it's true. I've only been using this a week or so, & I don't see me ever going back to using the midi loops again.....

Thanks Ralph!!!!!

Glad to, hope it works for you guys.

Here's a link to the kit
http://www.box.com/s/6umptfkvod63u4y9es3z

A few of things

1:
When you load this kit is JS3 it will load the sounds i used for each drum so don't forget do select "midi only" in the mixer view, doing this will dump the samples associated with each drum and just send the midi data to BFD ECO.

2:
This kit is maped for the Dry-DW kit in BFD ECO so not sure if it works properly with other ECO kits

3:
you'll also have to map a couple of sounds in BFD ECO ( i can't find where they save the file )
Go to the mapping page in ECO and map the following hi-hat articulations

Hi-hat open shank to F0
Hi-hat foot splash to E0

then save the mapping in ECO

Then this should all work perfectly, at least it seems to be right here Smile

Cheers
