I just bought Jamxstix a few days ago and have already finished 3 songs and found this program to be amazing to work with. I was wondering if anyone has used the NI Abbey Road drum sounds within Jamstix and would you recommend it?

I haven't used any of the Abbey Road kits yet, but I regularly use the Steven Slate ones, and yes, highly recommended.

Apparently Jamstix 3 can't sub-host Kontakt 5 Abbey Road drums on windows 7 64-bit. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Use the midi out on Jamstix and then load the Kontakt 5 in your Daw and set it's midi in to come from Jamstix. You can adjust the mapping on Abbey Road to use Superior Drummer mappings, so all you need to do in Jamstix is load the midi map for Superior Drummer 2 and voila.

Hi,
I have new, enhanced mappings for NI Battery 3 (Factory Library Acoustic Kits), Kontakt (Factory Library Acoustic Kits) and Abbey Road Drums (60s, 70s, 80s and Modern). You can download them from:
http://www.power-xs.net/download/JS3_Battery.zip
http://www.power-xs.net/download/JS3_Kontakt.zip
http://www.power-xs.net/download/JS3_Abbey_Road_Drums.zip
How to use:
1. Unzip the files and move the folders into your Jamstix data folder in the subfolder "kits".
2. When you open Jamstix the mappings shoud be available. Please note: All plugin and patch data has been removed from the mapping-files. You can instantly use them when triggering Battery and/or Kontakt via MIDI out of Jamstix. Otherwise, you need to load the respective plugin and open the corresponding patch.
Have fun!
Cheers, drjee |

for those of you who got the drummer editions (Kontakt 5): just set your drummer product to legacy mapping (in the options page) and my mappings will work. (used it, as suggested and described in my post, with jamstix set to midi only mode and route its midi out to kontakt 5 midi in)
