Hi, I don't know if this is possible so thought it best to check with the community.

I like to create custom drum loops ad hoc on the keyboard within cubase. So say I created a loop and recorded it, can I get jamstix 3 to use the loop even though I have only recorded it in Cubase and not have it within a folder of midi loops?

I know Jamstix can use loops from the likes of Ezdrummer but just wanted to know, and hoped, that Jamstix can read a recorded drum midi line. This way I can create my own loops and get Jamstix to vary it slightly and add the dreaded fills that I hate doing on the fly!!

Just came across an even bigger problem...........

Up until now I have just been fooling around with Jamstix3 and haven't actually recorded anything. After a bit of thinking I created another midi track and assigned the midi in as jamstix......record enabled and voila it worked. However, I am getting major asio spikes right up to the red (asio time overload ) in the metre that render it useless like this. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? It is a decent PC - i7, 12gb ram, and it is definitely Jamstix3 that is causing the spikes. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

UPDATE - while the above was a little disconcerting I closed down cubase and started everything from scratch. Thankfully the asio seems to be behaving itself now. Fingers crossed it was just a minor glitch in the matrix!!

One other question - now that I have the midi from Jamstix recorded to a new midi track - how do I just get Jamstix to output to this track, without Jamstix kicking back in to gear itself again? I hope I am making myself even a little bit clear with my ramblings and I really do appreciate any help. I am getting there slowly but surely and with such an indepth and fantastic piece of software there was always going to be a learning curve so thanks for any assistance with my basic queries.
