|
|
Hi Ralph,
I was just wondering, if I arrange drums for a full song on my drum machine and then export it as a MIDI file... when I then import that MIDI file into Jamstix, can I make Jamstix "humanize" the playback of it? (I know that humanizing is a substantial part of Jamstix, but I didn't know if it has the ability to humanize a pre-recorded imported MIDI track).
Thanks. |

Which host are you using?, as I know Logic can do humanization in the transform, and I think other host sequencers can too - (obviously Logic 5.5 is the latest for PC)

Jamstix will not humanize a pre-existing drum track. However, you can use the import function (or learn function) in the rhythm tab to import the different patterns of your drum track. You can then arrange the patterns quickly in the arranger to match the original composition and the result will use all humanizing aspects of Jamstix. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph, thanks for the response. So even though the full song MIDI track I speak of is simply several different patterns lined up a certain way, I would still need to import each pattern separately?
Thanks again...
(andrew... I use Cubase SX2 and FL4 to create my drum tracks.. then bring them into ProTools.) |
