Go to the directory where Jamstix was installed. Find the jamstix.dll and make a copy. Then go to the directory where you have your other vst's and vsti's located and paste it in. (If you didn't specify a unique directory it will be Program Filess/Reaper/Plugins/VST (At least for me on XP)
It should now show up fine when you ad an FX.
Jamstix takes a little getting used to if you have used other drum programs before, but once you get it, you will never go back;-)

Open up Reaper and go to Options/Preferences/Plug-ins/VST
The directory you need should be listed there. You could also just enter the path to where jamstix was installed (separated by a semicolon), but at least I prefer to keep all my effects and instruments in a single location.

We are gettin close. Try making a copy of the jamstix.ini file as well and putting it in the same directory as the .dll. I just looked in my folder and both are there. Also it can take a bit of time to load and needs quite a bit of memory. If we still don't get there with this suggestion, try including your operating system so if others chime in they will have more to work with. Hang in there, you'll get there.

oh.... wait.........it was taking a long time to load up, it showed the reaper icon and my cursor was just sitting there spinning, i thought it was locked up.......should i have waited, i did wait 3-5 min....i have about 9-10 gigs of free space on HD......

thanks for your tangible direction, it really helps with your quick responses, and with your upbeat patients, it assures me that when I buy this, support is the biggest treasure.....so thanks........again...i am going to go look for the .ini file again......i will check back frequently.....

well, i watched the vid.........seemingly enough, i have some issues.........well first off my screen looks like the one in the vid.........

i follow the directions,

I load up the same song that the vid does.............i can play the drum set, i can hear the drum set........but where on earth do you press the play button to hear the song? i know, i know.......but seriously.....i can't find the play button........

I see the YT vid press the lock/unlock button next to the wizard........and i press it and nothing happens.....can't get JS to play a pre-written song.......

any clues? but i can play the set no problem, hear it just fine to

appreciate any thoughts to my dilemma........
