Hi everyone,
I've been reading good things about your product on the Cubase forum and perhaps this could be the plug-in I've been looking for. I'm a guitar player not a drummer, so I don't like spending too much time trying to figure out drum software. I plan on buying the product, but wanted to ask this question first.

Can I use Jamstix on songs already recorded without a drumtrack?

Did you play the guitar part to some sort of click track? If so, set your host to the tempo of the click, and JS should sync up with it. If not, you could trying going in and tapping out a tempo map if your host allows that. Then JS could sync up to that.

I know I was able to add JS drums to a song I already did. But I had played to a click with a steady tempo.

I don't think the audio sensing part of JS reacts to tempo. I think it just follows the tempo of the host. So if you are looking for something that can listen to a song you've record on guitar, figure out the tempo, and then play along with it, JS doesn't do this (I'm not sure anything does for that matter).

I recorded the songs listening to a click/metronome, but didn't record a click track. I know what the bpm are. I usually record on a digital recorder then transfer the wav files into Cubase SX2. It's a roundabout way, but I'm just more familiar with the recorders operation.
So for example one of my songs has a guitar/bass line at 114 bpm and vocals. If I were to mute the vocals, would Jamstix try to play along with the song?

Let us know how it goes Paul. I've been re-doing the drum tracks on several of my pre-Jamstix recordings. Jamstix has definitely brought a new life to those songs.

I received it. I haven't installed it yet and probably won't get a chance for awhile. Just putting finishing touches on a new song and then going home for a visit. I'm sure I'll have questions once I get a chance to play around with it.
