I like to alter arrangements via reaper's region system - so normally I'll record all the base parts of the song (intro, verse, precho, chorus, etc) and use the regions to reorder and repeat sections.
typically, the midi with the drums will follow the regions - but since jamstix has its own arrangement system, it makes moving stuff around a bit more difficult. If I want to move the chorus later on, whatever takes its place will have the chorus beat, etc.. due to the fact that the arrangement in jamstix has not changed.
the answer seemed to come in liveloop - where midi keys seem to trigger certain parts. what an excellent way to do this?
my question is, is there a way to export a midi file with the triggers at the appropriate place? Or a way to record the triggers into a midi file? So that I can insert it back into the projects and move the arrangement around as I wish...
yes, I realize I can draw the midi notes in, but it's a bit fiddly and I am not sure how to get this feature to work consistently. Sometimes intros start a bit late, beats are unpredictable... etc... perhaps some help with liveloop in general would be good? |

Jamstix does not output Liveloop triggers. You would have to place the manually where desired in the host. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Well, the liveloop triggers come from the host anyway. Maybe I don't understand your point completely? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

what if we had a way to export the triggers in order of the arrangement that is already present? |
