Now that I got the Breakbeat sound mastered (thanks to Ralph!) I'm looking for some cool jazz sounds to use in my faux-sampled beats. I'm trying to figure out the best style/drummer and tweaking of the brain to get Jamstix to play like this (listen about 12 seconds in for the pattern I'm after):

Thanks!

If you have AIPak, then I'd do this:

- load 'Custom Jazz' style
- disable 'Kick'
- add 'Add Classic Kick/Snare'
- clear 'Snare' from above
- set 'Kick' to 1-Heavy, 2-Neutral,4-Heavy
- set 'Kick' frequency to 'Odd'
- load drummer 'Peter'
- set accent 'Cymbals' frequency fairly high
- set BPM to around 160

Thanks. Any chance of getting close with the stock styles?

I was just thanking Ralph for making the Breakbeat pack. If you search my handle, you'll see that Ralph has helped me try to get this sound with the stock styles. Now that I have the Breakbeat pack, no further help is required. Just call up the Breakbeat style, Breakbeat kit and Loopy drummer model, hit play in your DAW, and instant breakbeat! Couldn't be easier!
