|
|
Since I installed Jamstix 3.2 update I've been getting freeze-ups in Cubase 6.03 64bit.
I use jbridge to "create" 64 bit dlls, and this has been working perfectly until this update.
Is it possible to roll back the Jamstix to my previous working version (3.13 beta5)?
Thanks,
/Dave

There is nothing in the code base between 3.2 and 3.1.3 B5 that would explain that. Can you send me rzdlog.txt from Documents\Jamstix3? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I adjusted some options in jBridge and Jamstix has been working fine for 3hrs now, so problem apparently fixed.
Sorry for impugning the peerless Jamstix when the issue was with jBridge.

Dbmac - I am using Cubase 64 bit 6.02, Jbridge, and JS 3.20. JS works fine most of the time but occasionaly hangs during loading. When it loads (9 times out of 10) - it works fine. Have you experienced this and if not - could you post the Jbridge settings file?

This is the suggested jBridge option settings from Joćo:
I recommend that you try the "separated GUI mode" option with the
"opcode 19(...)", "sluggish GUI hack" and "audiomastergettime hack
options enabled.
I don't use "separated GUI mode" option - it makes Jamstix GUI disappear.
I'm still getting freeze-ups with Cubase 6.03 + Jamstix loaded, but I'm looking at jBridge as the culprit. Still trying to remedy the issue....and wishing for a 64bit Jamstix.
I'll keep this thread informed of any news.

Thanks - looks like we are about in the same place. I was hoping you had some kind of magic solution. I received the same information from Joćo but like you - I do not run in seperated GUI mode.
With my system, when Jamsitx does load (which is 90+% of the time) - the system is very stable and never hangs. This is more of an annoyance than a show stopper.
Looking forward to a 64 bit JS also...

I've determined the problem to be Cubase since the v.6.03 update.
I've rolled back to Cubase 6.02 and everything works great.
I see that Stein has a Cubase 6.04 out, but I'm going to wait on this one til the reviews are in.
Jamstix = #1

| I use 6.03 witjh Jstix and jbridge fine although I did get a modified jbridge to get it to work but that was for 6.02. 6.03 changed nothing for me. |

Cubase 6.03 worked fine with jBridged Jamstix, but if the computer was idle for a period (+1 hr) Cubase froze up.
