Anyone having a problem with this? I thought I tested JS midi out within the last few years, but I've upgraded so much software since then that I'm not sure what might be the problem.

Since I'm using 64-bit Win 7 now, I'd like to use JS3 midi out to push 64-bit Superior Drummer 2 (rather than sub-hosting the 32-bit version of SD within JS3).

I've already setup JS3 within Sonar for midi output, and the JS3 setting for midi output is also enabled.

But no matter what I do, I don't see JS3 as a possible midi input on a Sonar midi track.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I could be an idiot -- becasue it's working now. The problem could have had something to do with the fact that there are now two separate places to right click on a synth in the new Sonar X1 synth rack. When I right-clicked the MIDI symbol part of the icon, it revealed that JS3's midi output actually wasn't selected! But it is now, and everything work fine -- except that I need to start another thread asking if there's a way to select the specific channel that JS3 outputs MIDI on...

You can choose the desired MIDI channel for every sound in the kit editor.

Thanks, Ralph! But no way to select the MIDI channel globally (all kit elements at the same time)? Not a show-stopper at all -- just curious if I might have missed an easy way to do this.

No global function, yet. I'll see what we can do.
