Hello,
I’m trying to use the bar editor to change a “beat” from “heavy” to “syncopated” but the change is over-written every time I play the song. The other changes I make with the bar editor (like erasing a hit) work fine when I play the song. Obviously something in the brain is “over riding” my “beat” change, but I’m not sure what or if there is anything I can do about it.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thank You

Are you changing groove weights at the top of the bar editor?

Yes - At the top of the bar editor: I put a yellow box around the third beat and choose: "beat is syncopated" and "change weights for the song" , but as soon as I play the song/let Jamstix compose it in normal mode, that beat is always changed back to "beat is heavy" for every verse.

Is the bar you are changing the beat on a "core bar". I am wondering if the brain chnages the "repeat bars" to the same as the "core bars" as it composes. Sort of a guess here.
Sincerely,
J.L.

The whole song has just two different bars for the structure:
verse1 (3/eight)
verse2 (7/eight)
the pattern is: verse1, verse1, verse1, verse2

The OS is Windows 7 64bit.
The host is Sonar Studio X1b 32 bit (I was using 64bit Sonar, but Jamstix would not save anything so I switched to 32bit)

Thanks for the help
