I am running Reaper vs 3.75 with JS 3. My OS is Vista business. I am getting random crashes - which shuts of my audio device (line 6 UX2 - podfarm vs 1.75). I can generally fix by shutting down and re-starting but I get nervous because I never know when the next crash will occur (result = regular saves) and have lost some good takes. Should I download the beta ? I have done a couple of things like change the buffer etc. can anyone shed any light on this ?

Please try the Beta and, if it still happens, send me rzdlog.txt again. Also, any rhyme or reason to the crashing in relation to specific actions?

seems to be no pattern - sometimes I can work with it for an hour or more session doing all my usual reaper things then on others it won't even start - up without reaper having unexpected occurrence and having to shut down. Sometimes reaper stays open however it can't communicate with my audio device (Line 6 UX2
) and I have to shut down and restart. Perhaps it has something to do with changing the audio device settings?

Ive tried with/without internet and some of the suggested fixes in the pre check list you put out and my PC is optimised for audio and the Vista OS according to line 6 suggestions.
