First of all I'd like to say thanks for the quick delivery on the weekend of the DL link and keys!!!!!
Ok, I am running Windows Vista (64), Sonar 8.3.1(32) & Jamstix 3.0.2. The only issue I have occurring is when I press create song while having JS loaded (soft synth) nothing happens. I hear all the sounds when I click on the pads, I can load a pre-made song and drag and drop.....everything is working for me except create song. If I use a dinky little 3rd part VST host, the create song works. I can save and then load when using Sonar, but I wish to avoid this step and have it all work within the Sonar environment.
Any ideas? |

Please repeat the problem, close Sonar and then send me rzdlog.txt from My Documents\Jamstix3. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| OK, so I decided to take a peak in that log file, I noticed something about a buffer fail (at work so just using my memory on this). Could this be the problem? |

The buffer timeout error is a false alert, no worries there. I see song builder activity in the log as it should be. Can you send me a screenshot of what it looks like after you click 'Create Song' in Sonar? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

All looks good. What happens if you play Sonar (or record if it is set to not play empty projects)? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Sonar won't play, there's nothing there. When I do the same steps in a separate VST host, all the bars get filled with notes and it'll play. I can save it and then load it in Sonar. But in Sonar when I press create song, no notes appear, if I press play in Sonar nothing happens and there's nothing for me to drag and drop. I'm not sure if there's something I am missing in Sonar, but seems strange I am not having any problems in a regular VST host. Be nice if any Sonar users out there chimed in. |

Sonar does not play empty projects, unlike most other hosts. You need to arm a MIDI track and hit RECORD, or set up a play range, or place a dummy MIDI note far downrange. Later versions of Sonar have an option to allow empty song play. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
