|
|
I was clicking around on the Wizard/Time/Shuffle buttons and at some point I clicked on the Kit tab, and got the following access violation:
| Code: | ---------------------------
Studio one
---------------------------
Access violation at address 341F252C in module 'jamstix3.dll'. Read of address 0002FFFF.
---------------------------
OK
--------------------------- |
I was able to dismiss the dialog and JS was still running, but I kept getting the access violation every time I clicked on the Song, Kit or Options tab. Only the Mixer tab didn't bring up the dialog.
I continued clicking around the interface and at some point the access violations stopped and JS appeared to work properly. I was not able to reproduce the problem again.
I'm using JS 3.1.3 Beta 2 in Studio One Pro 32-bit. _________________ Intel DX48BT2, Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 2.66GHz, 8GB DDR3, Edirol FA-66, Studio One 2, Sonar X3e x64, JS 3.6.0, Windows 8.1 Pro x64 |

I get these every once in a while also. Usually it occurs when I try to load or save a song. I use Cubase 5.5.3 64 bit with the built in bridge. It never seems to cause a problem in the operation of Jamstix though. So I never really worried about it. It made me nervous for a while but then I got used to it. It probably has something to do with two different applications or processes trying to access the .dll file at the same time or something.

| I get these with the same version of Cubase (32 bit, though.) They usually preceed cataclysmic errors, though. |

| If it helps at all, Ralph, I think it usually happens in larger projects which makes me think it might have to do with memory availability maybe. |

In my case it was almost a blank project, and I have 8GB memory so I don't think it is related to insufficient memory. _________________ Intel DX48BT2, Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 2.66GHz, 8GB DDR3, Edirol FA-66, Studio One 2, Sonar X3e x64, JS 3.6.0, Windows 8.1 Pro x64 |

Wondered if there was any update on this. It happens to me quite often (but not always.) For me it happens when I click the style tab to change them. I get an error. I then keep getting the error and I have to hit OK twenty or so times until the load style screen finally pops up only it is empty. I then have to x out of it. At this point Jamstix is pretty much screwed. If I move its window the screen redraws go haywire and it becomes completely unresponsive. I know that one of the error messages after all the access violation errors is "out of memory."
The error is:
Access violation at address 2FFE077C in module jamstix.3dll'. Write of address 00000004. |

Nexus: the log shows 'out of memory' errors. What is the sample size in Superior? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| typically not too high. (a few hundred MB) I do think it is related to memory amount, though as I mentioned earlier. It always starts with the styles button being clicked. This gives the access violation over and over until I finally get the "out of memory. It doesn't always get to the out of memory message, though. |
