Hi Ralph
I have changed over to 64 bit Windows 7 now and Jamstix is ok in FL Studio but not in Sonar X1.
So far Abysynth,Pro 53, FM8, Wuikstation, Sampletank all run perfect in Sonar, but when I add Jamstix I get freeze or a blue screen.
Since I have taken Jamstix out everything is ok.
My workaround will be to make a drum track in FL Studio and transfer over.
Is there issues with Jamstix in Sonar x86 on a 64 bit version.

Hi Ralph
I had Jamstix in Sonar X1 and crashed every time.
I had a dll that came up in plugin manager which I cannot remember now as I got rid of it.
It came up with something like SWX326 -- which brought up the Jamstix 3 but crashed Sonar X1 after I tried to make any actions with it. Sometimes It just hung and others blue screen.
All other plugins work ok.
The odd named dll may have been from a previous trouble I had with getting Jamstix to work with multithreading in the 32 bit version some time back.
I uninstalled Jamstix and re-Installed It
I have put the beta 3 in now and works perfectly in FL Studio.
The plugin manager in Sonar X1 will not recognize Jamstix at all now.
I have jamstix in X86 on my 64 bit Win 7,so all is set right .
I hope you can pick the bones out of that HOPE!!
All The Best

Blue screen indicates a driver issue. What is your audio driver in X1? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph,
Sonar X1 64 does not like Jamstix.
1.) When using Sonar's bitbridge, Jamstix loads fine. However, drag and drop midi does not work. An error message occurs (I'm at work and can't remember the exact message though I know it's an ntdll.dll error). I believe it's also the same error when trying to install add ons (that fix is to install in a 32 bit host). Not the end of the world but definitely an annoyance.
2.) When using Jbridge, Jamstix frequently results in an opcode 33 error. It then takes a few minutes to finally load (though it does not work) so I can exit Sonar gracefully. I can't seem to find a pattern to the behavior. It will work fine one day and not the next. When it works, it works perfectly. Drag and drop has no issues.
When I get the time, I'll recreate the above and send you the rzdlog.txt files for both the release version and 3.1.3 beta.

hi ralph
Cakewalk have been back to me and come out with the obvious.
Have you located and got the right path etc.
I tried to explain that all 32bit plugins scan ok into Sonar X1 through the plugin manager and work .
Somehow Jamstix will not scan into plugin manager, so then it does not show up in the Insert synth drop down.
I do not think it has anything to do anything with EMU 0404USB drivers.
All Is well in FL Studio but not Sonar X1.
This has only happened since I have put in Windows 7 64 bit and loaded up Sonar X1 64 bit.
All the Best

John,
Make sure that Jamstix is not in the excluded plug-ins. There is a option near the lower right of the Sonar plug-in manger where you can view excluded plug-ins.

Hi K. M.
I think that did the trick.
It was not in excluded plugins until I scanned it in.
I then enabled it and bob's yer uncle,it showed up in the insert list and works ok.
Jamstix works flawlessly in FL Studio, but I am a little doubtful in Sonar.
X1.
I will give t a good go .
Thanks for the tip.
Ralph will be happy |

Hi ralph
Everything seems to be ok showing up now.
In Fl studio I can get everything going fantastic.
In sonar X1, I put Jamstix on an audio track and put the audio M8 in the FX bin and it hangs with a continuous blue circle.
I am still trying to get to grips with Sonar and not quite sure if what I am doing is 100% right.
I keep googling typing in Jamstix in Sonar ,but there are not any descriptions.
I have not used Sonar for a bit and a little confused here.
All the Best
