I'm a new user of Jamstix 1.2 running with Cubase SX-3 and already I want to start using DFH. I'm not exactly sure what to get. I've seen the DFHS drum sample program and also the DFH (2-disk) sample library. I need help determining what works best as a VST format within SX-3 and triggered with Jamstix. Thanks

For this purpose i would go with dfh Superior as it comes with 35Gb drum samples that has been mapped to easily run in it's own costum VST host.
The same VST host can be loaded externally in Jamstix in one easy step and voila' you have dfh sounds with Jamstix Smile

Another vote for DFHS if you can spare the cash and have a decent sized RAM.

The DHFS looks like the one, but I am curious.................
What is the difference between DFHS and DFH Custom & Vintage? - Both selling for the same $$ - I noticed in the download section of this site there is a download mapping file for Custom and Vintage. Does Jamstix have built in mapping for DFHS? If I understand correctly, I record the midi output of Jamstix and then set the midi track output to DFHS for playback and I need 1.5gb ram and my midi recording will play correctly?

Thanks for your help for this newbie.

Jamstix comes with several DFHS mapping and it is also very easy to make your own. You can use DFHS as you've described but if you have 1.5GB of RAM you can also use DFHS and Jamstix in realtime together. You can either load DFHS into Jamstix by loading a DFHS mapping in the Jamstix mapping tab or you can load DFHS separately into SX and then add a MIDI track with input=Jamstix and output=DFHS. Either way, Jamstix will drive DFHS in realtime.

The C&V is the same as DFHS but with different sounds. If you want a general-purpose kit I'd recommend DFHS. C&V is very good by geared a bit more to the exotic classics and old-style drums.

Thanks Ralph - Sounds easy enough ...I really like Jamstix, both for jamming on keyboard and guitar.
