Hi Ralph,

I have a question, I couldn't find the answer in the manual or in the forum search, so here it is:

How do you reset the rhythm of a single bar? I have a song with a few bars where the random fills/hits are a bit too busy, so I would like to replace them with a 'normal' rhythm bar, without the random fills/hits.
I tried choosing another rhythm in the arranger, but that doesn't work all of the time, sometimes the random fills/hits were copied to the new rhythm...

I must be doing something wrong here, I guess, but I can't figure it out.

Could you please help me with this?

BTW, it's a great plugin, it saves a lot of time and it's very inspiring to play with! Very Happy

Thanks,
Wim

Hi, Wim. Click the 'Reset' box in the right-bottom corner of the arranger screen and then click on the bar. It's color should change indicating the reset. However, depending on the snare and tom accent sliders of the associated rhythm you may get some accents back the next time the bar plays. If that occurs, you could do one of the following:

1) Assign a separate rhythm as you did before but move the snare and tom accent sliders of that rhythm all the way left in the new rhythm

2) Add MIDI automation envelopes for snare and tom accents to the Jamstix MIDI track and move them to 0 right before the bar in question and back to normal right before the end of the bar

Number 2 is the method I'd recommend. Using MIDI automation to customize a Jamstix arrangement is usually the easiest way.

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for the quick reply.
I will give both methods a try and see what works best for me.

Thanks,
Wim Very Happy
