Using Logic 5.5.1 and everything seems to work great at 44.1! (haven't had a crash yet)
At a 96KHz sample rate, I opened the jamstix demo (X4-10) and tried loading the DFH Superior FF 900MB and 800MB mappings (same thing with the C&V mappings), launching the DFHS VST 1.4.4 from within jamstix. Everything loads fine but DFHS isn't setting the sample rate properly - everything is playing an octave higher than it should.
Basically the 'fix' button next to the pitch knob in DFHS isn't lighting - and pressing it does nothing (it still won't light up).
Loading DFHS by itself in a 96KHz project works fine - the 'fix' light is active and everything is pitched normally.
It must have something to do with launching DFHS from within jamstix... Might just be Logic 5.5.1 - but then again it might not be. Can you guys check it out?
Jamstix is a fantastic piece of software, btw. |

Hi Resonance and thanks for your kind words!
There are two aspects to this problem. #1 Jamstix reports sample rates other than 44.1kHz incorrectly to subhosted VSTi. This has been fixed in X4-13, which you can download here:
http://rayzoon.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=385
#2 DFHS will show incorrect pitch even with fix #1. We're not sure why, all other VSTi we tested worked fine with the fix. The solution is to manually set the pitch knob to 0 for each sound and then save the mapping in Jamstix. Next time it is loaded DFHS will be properly pitched.
Hope this helps and thanks for the catch! _________________ Ralph Zeuner
