Ralph,

I was just wondering what gain level setting on the four console-controlled channels is equivalent to no cut or boost of the hosted VSTi's incoming signal? Or, in other words, what setting on the four console channels is equivalent to the level of the remaining 12 non-console controlled channels? I think that the default may be it, or not far off, but it seems odd that only 20% up from the bottom would represent unity gain. Also, because the default setting for the mixer has the four compresors slightly engaged, it further makes me wonder if the default position of the gain is supposed to represent a state of no processing. Perhaps double-clicking the controls should reset them to the zero cut/boost position, as is common with many such mixer interfaces.

The default gains are about 0dB IIRC. The range of the slider was scaled for the main purpose of the gains which is to adjust for various volumes of subhosted VSTi. It's a matter of taste I'm sure. The comps are on to give a basic 'mainstream' compression.

Good idea about the double-clicking!
Thanks
