Hi
Don`t know if this is a cubase or jamstix issue but here goes anyway.
Im using Jamstix 3 in Cubase 5.5.2
Im looping playback in a section and when ever the cusror goes back to the beginning of the loop the first hit in jamstix is often silent. I say often as sometimes the Bass drum sounds but mostly it doesnt.
Also tried exporting the midi and the first midi motes are missing from the file.
TBH haven`t a clue where to look to solve this so Im hoping someone else has an idea
Thanks

The problem has to do with the audio buffer. What happens is that the loop end point falls within one audio buffer sent from Cubase to Jamstix. Jamstix plays the end of the loop but cannot know that Cubase jumped back in time until the next audio buffer arrives, which is slightly after the beginning of the loop start point. At that time, Jamstix can only play notes that are at or past that time and it misses the downbeat notes that should have been served with the last audio buffer.
There isn't much we can do, it is a limitation of the VST interface. A work-around is to reduce latency as much as possible since this makes the audio buffer smaller. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
