Hi-

Yesterday I was dragging .mid files from Windows Explorer onto the "MIDI Clip" GROOVE section of the GUI -- at least I could swear I was. But today I just get the "no can do" sign (diagonal line in a circle) no matter where I try to drop it.

Did I change a setting or something? This is much easier (for me) than opening the built-in file picker to load a groove.

Thanks-

-Susan

Is it working for others? I'm sure I did it before, and this thread seems to confirm it should be possible:

It works for me. Just dragging the MID file to any dark part of the brain.

That's what I thought, but here's what I get in FL Studio 9.8 beta:

And JS has the focus when I try this. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe it's a Fruity thing. I'll try it in REAPER and SONAR.

Thanks Ralph-

Works fine in REAPER and SONAR, so apparently it is a FLS thing, but I'm sure it was working there before, too. Huh.

And now it's working in FLS again. Nevermind.

And it stopped working again.

I have an instance of JS and one of FPC in a .flp. I auditioned some .mid files in JS using dnd, then auditioned some with FPC. When I switched back to JS, the dnd stopped working again (got the 'not permitted' symbol). It won't work even after deleting the FPC channel so JS is the only one.

I'll see if a similar thing happens in my other hosts and if not I'll report it to I-L.
