I wanted a brush-based drum sound for an acoustic tune I'm doing. So, I set up Brush Kit with Brush Player and All Of My Heart style (from Bonzo). For the basic groove it seems ok but all the accents and fills are shuffle based which is killing my song.

Is there a good way to kill the shuffle? I tried a bunch of different styles but they all want to shuffle the song.

Thanks,

Warren

That's a bit unusual. A non-shuffled fill would usually collide with a band playing an 8th shuffle. Can you give me an example of a song that does this?

Is All Of My Love a 1/8th shuffle?

Just to be clear, I'm trying to have NO SHUFFLE at all played with brushes.

No, it is not. Please do this:

- make sure shuffle is NOT checked in the song sheet
- set length for 'Bridge' in the groove brain all the way left

ok

Shuffle box was not active but I clicked it and dragged the 1/8th part fully left. I also changed the Bridge part in the groove brain fully left as you suggested.

This seems to have removed the shuffle, which was particularly emphasized by the kick fills.

Thanks for the suggestions but just to further my understanding, why would there have been any shuffle in the first place?

Cheers,

Warren

'All Of My Heart' includes a bridge style that has a triplet feel. The bridge part is what you were hearing every 4th bar.
