I just paid for the JS3 upgrade from version 2. But when a Mac version becomes available, I will support the product by purchasing the Mac version. I just made the switch to Mac this past summer and I can't wait to be rid of having a PC for all my non OS X apps. Take your time Ralph, I understand people have been waiting a lot longer than me, but I don't see how it would be useful to put out a product prematurely. Now, when you are ready for Beta testers, count me in!!!

Count me in big time. I switched to OSX a few years back. I couldn't stand viruses and other goodies from M$ corporation. I still have studio setup with Win machines but I'm ready to pull the plug. ...Waiting for Jamstix to jump to the OSX camp Smile

frankly I'm sick and tired of the wincrap. I did my DAW Windoze sleepless nights when Cubase was on v 2.x.

Same here, Jamstix is the one last remaining plugin I'm waiting for on Mac to pull the plug on PC. Can't wait! I would love to beta test, too, when you are ready. Please hurry!

I am also anxiously awaiting this. Note that I bought the AI Pak, not because I desperately needed it but to kinda support the Mac development.

Not trying to start a religious war here, but there is absolute no reason whatsoever to switch from a Windows 7 machine over to a Mac. Stability is the same now. Mac is simply not any better than Windows. Viruses is about the lamest excuse in the book. If you have any clue how to behave, you can run a PC without any anti-virus software and be absolutely fine. A decent DAW is supposed to be a dedicated one. I guess that if you want to load up you computer with a bunch of superfluous junk, then all bets are off, but for a professional, Mac is just a status thing now. In Europe, PC's rule the music creation world.

I am not knocking Mac, but I see no reason for everyone to be so desperate to make the apple leap. If you are already on Mac and heavily invested, that's a different story, but otherwise, just upgrade to Windows 7 and enjoy the freedom. I have used them both, and, to be honest, I prefer the PC, but it is really a matter of personal taste. FL Studio is another PC only piece of software that I would never consider switching to OSX because of.

If I were starting from scratch, and had no computer or software, I would heavily consider Logic because it comes with so many plug-ins automatically, that you can really get up and running pretty quickly. The difference in cost for the same quality machine, however, kind of offsets the savings on software. The freeware and cool, obscure software choices in the music world are strong on Mac, but PC really has so much more. I think, in the end, you just can't beat a PC running Cubase / Nuendo / Sonar.

Look, Box of Snoo is right here.
There are a lot of people working on a Mac for different personal reasons.
And they wish for their favourite drum creating software to become Mac compatible.
I´m among of them BTW.

There´s absolutely no need to discuss the pros and cons of Windows or Mac here.

It´s personal preference anyway.

Well, my apologies for offending. That really isn't my point. I suppose you are right that this might not be the right place for me to post. It is just very frustrating to me these days as a professional who has had to work on both platforms to constantly be find people who still believe that there are pros or cons to using a mac or pc based on anything other than software choice and cost. I really think Macs are fantastic and elegant computers, and I am glad people like them. I just get so frustrated at how many people really still believe that one system is in any way better than the other. It is almost unacceptable to any Apple fan to even suggest such a thing. I have people come to me all the time because of my tech background asking me what kind of computer they should buy. I always tell them that the only really important factor is what do you do, what tools do you need to accomplish that task (and how much are you willing to spend?) It is simply misinformation that DAWS are better on either side. The crazy thing is that most people on the apple side of the equation simply won't concede that point. It does a lot of people a great disservice.

My reaction wasn't intended to seem like I am discouraging you from enjoying your computers of choice, nor to discourage Ray from developing for it. It is just hard for me to see people talking about how much better macs are than pc's or vice versa. It is foolish and counterproductive. So, to be honest, I kind of was trying to say, neither one is better. Use what you want (like you said.) Just don't claim that one performs better. And, to be fair, I am not sure anyone here made that claim so, I apologize for jumping on my soapbox in the wrong context. I just REALLY hate pc / mac wars, and anything that even suggests one is superior is enough to make me speak up. That is my problem and not yours. Take care guys and enjoy you shiny macs! Thanks guys, especially Doc for jumping in and Nexus for your thoughtful summation/apology. Clearly, we have a lot of real men here versus the mal-adjusted teenagers and compensating trolls in other forums.

Looks like the Rayzoon forums can continue to be one of the most civil places around Smile

+1 for me... I use mac and would love to see this product developed for my native machine... it is frustrating to have to slave other daw's to get a product like this working... more often than not for me one of them ends up crashing for some reason and I have to set it up again... for speedy workflow it is just not usable through this manner.. at least not for me... I have been waiting for a while and hope this is still on the horizon at some point... All the best to you Ray with trying to implement this as I understand the AU format is not very flexible with Midi out and such... do you know if it would be AU or VST for mac? I use Logic and I have work arounds for midi out, but it is still a pain in the butt... I find conflicting data on whether AU midi out is possible or not... I realize why it is taking so long to come out and applaud you for putting in the extra work to make it happen... continually keep us updated if possible as to the light at the end of the tunnel. I think the brain of this product is genius and should be applied to other instruments where possible. I still hold hope that some day Mac will offer some of the advantages that PC's have in this regard, especially in relation to this product. Best of luck,

AU MIDI is an issue so OSX VST is our focus initially.
