|
|
Hi, I installed Jamstix 3 on Windows 7 64 bit. When I run Sonar 8.5 studio, 64 bit, Jamstix loads into a track ok but when I try to install a Pak within Jamstix I get this error and Sonar freezes:
---------------------------
Bitbridge
---------------------------
Access violation at address 77E8F5E6 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Read of address F6483818.
---------------------------
Should it work ok? Thanks! |

The Pak installer in JS3 works on most machines with BitBridge but not on some. We haven't been able to pinpoint it. Please use a 32-bit host just for the Pak install (i.e. SAVIHost).
Your style load dialog works fine, right? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Not sure how to do this:
Please use a 32-bit host just for the Pak install (i.e. SAVIHost). |

| I'm getting the bitbridge ntdll.dll error as well, on Sonar 8.5 and Jamstix 3 beta 9 crashes Reaper as well. Usually when I change songs or change a kit in a song. Any more news on this? I want my Jamstix!! |

Milt, are those crashes without subhosting? Can you send me a Sonar or REAPER project that crashes reliably for you? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Please see if Jamstix 3.1 Beta 12 fixes this issue. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Ralph, using beta 12 in Sonar 8.53 Producer 64 bit, I get this message usually when trying to load a different song in JS: The message is headed "Bitbridge" then says "Access violation at address 774BE663 in module 'ntdll.dll' Read of address 00000024". When I try to use JS beta 12 in Reaper, sometimes it crashes, and sometimes it works ok, very erratic. When it does crash in Reaper, the gui goes to the Reaper generic gui, and JS cannot be opened. Good luck, this seems like a tough one. Milt. |

| I just tried JS beta 12 on Reaper 64 bit again, this time I got this message headed 'Reaper host 32' it said, "Access violation at address 770AE663 in module 'ntdl.dll'. Read of address 59E0D0AE." Usually don't get this in Reaper, it usually just crashes. |

Milt, are the crashes in Sonar and REAPER always related to loading/saving? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes, Ralph, they seem to be. It seems like once
i got a crash when loading a different kit. The problem seems to be worse in Reaper than Sonar, and the crash messages always implicate a bitbridge.
Thanks for your efforts, Milt. |

And is this loading/saving via the host or within Jamstix? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Sorry to bring this topic back from the dead, but I am having a similar problem. Whenever I try to drag and drop the parts, or whole song to my host I get the "Access violation at address 774BE663 in module 'ntdll.dll' Read of address 00000024" error. (Sonar X1 64bit)
I'm using the JS3 demo, and it happens every single time. I was hoping to export the Jamstix sessions to midi so I could use SSD. If this can be done, I'm a definite buyer. |
