Hi,
I am trying to map some Kontakt Kits and do have the following problems:
1) As long as it is just a stereo out kit it is working in principle, but with multi outputs I can only hear whatever is mapped in Kontakt to the first stereo out. (I set Jamstix to 8 Stereo Outs and chose the 16 Out version of the Kontakt 4 VST)
2) The second problem is even more annoying: I cannot map some sounds (eg the toms) since I cannot set a midi key for them. This problem is not present in jamstix 2 (which was imo better suited for this task since one gets a better overview of what is to map in the respective window). My workaround is to use jamstix 2 and then use the mapping in js3, but what do people do who do not have JS?
help is much appreciated
cheers, drjee |

1) Please send me rzdlog.txt from My Documents\jamstix3
2) You need to select the desired articulation to change tom MIDI keys. This is not needed in JS2 since it doesn't support tom articulations at all. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
thanks for your reply. I could now solve problem 1 (I had falsely assumed Jamstic would internally map all outputs to of the hosted vst to its default output, but it seems that all outputs of jamstix are used so I just increased the number of outputs for jamstix and it worked).
Regarding problem 2: thanks for the hint, it works this way. But let me suggest the following: why not offer a dialog similar to that in Jamstix 2, where one gets a list of all sound to be mapped in one overview (and even better than in Jamstix 2: for all available sounds/articulation at once). This would make it much easier to do a fast mapping.
