Hi, Ralph. I believe it's an old feature request or maybe it even worked in JS2, I can't remember. As soon as I enter a note in the fill editor, a fill should be created. Otherwise I can't use important features from fills: ' no groove', 'end crash', copy/paste/save/load. And sometimes I want a simple fill and I don't want to mess with settings to create a small fill and edit. If at least lasso would work easily, it would be easier to handle cells, but I can't get lasso to work, as I mentioned before.

I just turn on looping in the bar editor and hit compose when I want a fill, would that work for you?

Yes, it does, but that's not the point. Sometimes I want a custom fill that's short and/or dfifferent from the current settings, so that's why my request. To need to press ´compose´ is exactly what I don't want. I would gain a lot of time this way. I was working on a song yesterday in which I essentially needed custom fills, and that was breaking the workflow a lot.
