I am removing Jamstix2, should I install Jamstix2 stock kits into Jamstix3 or is that redundant to what is provided by the new J3 stock kits?

Please copy the contents of 'Jamstix2\data\sounds' to 'Jamstix3\data\sounds' prior to JS2 removal.

ooops, too late for that. But I can't I just install the J2 rxp2 as a pak?

I wasn't sure whether I even need those samples, but sounds like there is some benefit to having them in addition to the J3 sample set?

Yes, you can just reinstall the JS2 RXP2 files.

Various JS3 kits also use JS2 sounds so, yes, I highly recommend installing the JS2 sounds.
