First time using an imported midi file (AD) and it mostly worked adding extra fills and such. Using AD subhosted. It's about 25 bars of a slow heavy rock instrumental (think Those Shoes by the Eagles, but heavier guitars). Just a few problems:

1. On the first beat and a half of the Chorus, there is no piece being played (silence). There was on the original midi file, and I've tried adding some kick, snare, crash but still nothing. I've got Start crash on for both the bar before and the first bar of the Chorus.

2. Can't seem to get syncopation in the kick, it's too straight. Looking for more of a Those Shoes feel. I guess I could try another drummer (using Tony and 8th rock).

2.5 May be related to the above issue: chose imort as a style, and added the midi file in, but it still says 8th Rock and Tony.

I'll stop there and see if this can be sorted out. Thanks for any help.

Larry

Can you send me a 'Save Song' file from JS3 with this project?

Yeh, that'd be great. How would I do that?

Click "Save Song" in the song menu (left of 'Wizard' button)

No, i got that part. How do I get a file to you?

After saving the song, I was free to try some stuff and changed the drummer to Chad and got stuff to show up at that bar. However, it changed my beginning of my song too much. Guess I could try starting from the original again, but would like to know how to change things manually as I've done in the past to grooves only coming from JS (not a midi file added onto).
