Hi,
just recently made some changes to my system and am having trouble getting jamstix 2 to subhost other intruments.
I'm running sonar 8.5 (64bit) on windows 7 professional (64bit). When reinstalling jamstix (after the fresh install of windows7), i first installed version 2.0 then the 2.5 update patch, and finally the 2.5.2 patch.
My problem is I can't get jamstix to subhost anything. When i load jamstix in sonar, everything loads up fine and i can load whatever kit i want, but when i click "select DLL" under "SUBHOST" on the kit screen, the following error message comes up every time "Access violation at address 775DF5E6 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Read of address 1800F83." (the 1800F83 part seems to change everytime the error occurs, but the first number string is consistent) This message appears in a small window with "Bitbridge" in the title bar of the window (which, as i understand it, is sonar's utility for opening 32 bit vst's in the 64 bit environment)
Any suggestions/tips that you guys think might be able to solve this problem?
All help is MUCH appreciated!

Work-around: instead of subhosting, load the plugin in Sonar and then 'drive' it with JS via a MIDI track in Sonar with input=Jamstix and output=plugin.
Also, jBridge may not exhibit this problem. You may want to try the demo to see. I think the latest Sonar even has an option setting to route 32-bit plugins to either BitBridge or jBridge. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

When this will be fixed ? I'm testing the Jamstix 3 demo, and this kind of old bugs not being fixed restrain me from buying it.
Does a 64 bits version of Jamstix is in development ? |

There is a fix in 3.0.2. As soon as it is released, we will also update the demo.
A 64-bit version is in the works but nowhere near release. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
