|
|
I am running JS3 on Cubase 5.1. I have a PC with Vista and a quad core processor.
I experience the same audio glitches as others have reported. I used JS3:s freeze function to see if that would help but that made no difference. Then I tried to use the freeze function för VST instruments that Cubase has but it was impossible to freeze JS3 at all. This works perfectly with JS2.
Good bug hunting!

Did you install the 3.0.1 update? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I have installed the 3.01 update. It is still not possible to use the freeze function in Cubase 5. The audio glitches are still there. I have disabale the "load on demand" function in the options panel.

Rather than start a new thread unnecessarily, I thought I'd tag on to this one. I'm running Cubase 6.03 x64 and have no issues apart from the DAW Freeze function not working.
JS's freeze works fine but I am needing to unload the instrument to claw back some much needed cpu cycles! I normally run JS into 7 channels. Is this a known bug (a quick search of the forum didn't reveal much)? Or is it another bug in my brain needing exorcism?
I have tried freezing the instrument only or the other option of the instrument and its channels but on a play-through there aren't any drums. Cubase appears to quickly render something but since I run at 96/32 I would expect the tracks to take longer than about 1.5 seconds (the time Cubase takes to render the freeze-track).
Afterthought. (Edit)
I used Directory Opus to run a 'flat' view (all files in the project folder, no folders, ordered by date modified) and lo and behold, 7 new .wav files appear when I DAW Freeze but they are all 56 bytes long....
Your thoughts are welcome. |

It is some bug in the C6 wrapper but we have not found a work-around, yet.
You do have dummy MIDI events on the JS MIDI track, right? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
