Still new at JS3, though I've been playing with it for about 12 hours now:). For the song I'm working on, I'm programming everything (though I understand the power of JS is in the auto composing, etc.). How can I use my own "patterns" to build a song. This may be something I've just not figured out yet. I'm working on a fairly common rock-type song, but not exactly like the default in JS, and I am having to re-input the underlying beat for a bar every time I change parts.

How do I establish my own pattern as the "default." For example, in the olden days, I would create a pattern on my Roland TR-707, and save it as "pattern a." Then I'd create 70 or so bars of "pattern a," and periodically intersperse fill patterns as needed. Pattern a was my default.

Thanks.

Ken

Use the style "Custom Rock", you can you program the kick and snare parts for each section rather than doing it for every bar.

There are also specific kick and snare elements for this that you can add to other styles, but I forget the names.

WOW! It must have cost an arm and a leg of Jamstix limbs to get Arnold the Governator to narrate. Shocked Laughing
