Ralph
I've just bought the Native Instruments Abbey Rd 60's drums
The sounds are just perfect for the music I like.
There are many articulations for each drum piece
I've included a list below of just the snare and hihats.... but all the drum pieces are much the same. Is there or will there be a way for Jamstix to send this much information to Abbey Rd drums?
Or any suggestions of how I can utilize all the different hits and articulations that N/I. have put in this sample set? They are very human and very realistic
I can post you a copy of the Manual if you want?
Here is a comprehensive list of all drums and articulations included with each kit.4.1 Early 60s Kit

Here is the ARD to JS3 mapping I would do:
Snare Drum 1 & 2
Center Left Hand, Center Right Hand, Center Right/Left Alternating -Halfway Left , Hand Halfway Right, Hand Halfway Right/Left Alternating -Rimshot, Sidestick, FlamRoll Wires Off, Rim Only
Snare Center Left hand -> Snare Center
Snare Halfway Left -> Snare Offset
Snare Rimshot -> Snare Rimshot
Snare Sidestick -> Snare Sidestick
Look for a drag or buzz articulation to map to the /Snare Bounce' in JS3.
Hihat
Closed Tight Tip Right Hand, Closed Tight Tip Left Hand, Closed Tight Tip Right/Left Alternating - Closed Tip Right Hand, Closed Tip Left Hand, Closed Tip Right/Left Alternating - Closed Shank Right Hand, Closed Shank Left Hand
Closed Shank Right/Left Alternating - Closed Pedal Open, Peda lOpen, Quarter Open, Half Open, Three-Quarters Open, Loose Open, Full Open,
Map tip to closed,
Map shank to shank
Quarter Open->25&
Half Open->Half Open
Three-Quarters Open->75&
Full Open ->100% _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I haven't downloaded them yet, but scroll down in this thread: http://rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4955. Drjee has done mappings for ARD 60's, the stock Kontakt drum kits, and Battery 3. |
