I was having difficulty working out how to use a style I had created with Songbuilder so that the style automatically appears in each part of the song.
To me, the manual was not clear - so I thought I would share what I discovered via Jamstix Support.
If you have created your style correctly it should appear in the Jamstix3 'styles' folder, and Jamstix will have prefixed the title you gave it with 'Import_'. Thus, when in Songbuilder, if you choose the style 'Import' AND THEN CLICK ON THE WORD 'DEFAULT' to the right of the word 'Import' you will be able to select your style as part of a dropdown list; and it will be used in each verse/chorus etc.
Of course, I now wish that I could create a .txt file for each of my styles so that Jamstix could display it to remind me what I had in mind when I created the style in the first place - just like the ones that come with Jamstix. Are we never satisfied? |

First, change your *.pre (style)file to *.jxs (style)file.
Add a .txt file with the same (style)name to the styles-folder and youŽll see it in the style-description (Songbuilder-->Load Style) ! |

Wild_pig is a smart fellow
However, if you change the name of a style preset file, it will still show the old style name in the brain. Just an FYI. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
