Is there a way to save just the kit mapping and apply to other kits?

For example I just did a quick setup for my Yamaha DYX III on standard rock kit. Any easy way to take the note assignments and apply those to the bonzo kit, etc.?

Thanks.

Yes, load the BonzoPak kit and then load the DXT kit over it with 'Keys Only' checked in the kit load dialog.

perfect! Thanks.

Quick followup question. I loaded the aforementioned DTX kit I made and tried to play in a beat while looping an empty part with the learn button engaged. Kicks and Snares worked but the hats didn't.

Is this because the edrum hats are not part of the standard GM mapping?

Make sure 'Map GM ' is checked in the drum module mode options.

I thought I couldn't use drum module mode when entering beats via MIDI learn or mouse etc?

Correct but you can check it and then go back to normal mode for LEARN.
