OK, is the email i received legit...Says it will be available on 5/5/2010 and I get the email today 5/4/2010 and am able to download all the stuff I need..but one thing I noticed is that the download page looks a little funky,

Ralph, can you confirm that the link I received is correct? If so, you may wat to take a look at a users DL page, There are about 100 listings for JS3 downloads, some contain JS2 stuff, some do not...

Thanks,

Blindeddie

Yes, the page looks odd. All Jamstix 3 links are repeated indefinitely one after the other.

At the very end, links for JS1, 2 are found...

Thought I'd give it a shot, but I'm getting "This is not an authorized download!" for all, including the JS3 plugin. [Patience, Susan! Wink ]

I noticed that too, but the downloads are fine (part1 and part2).

It seems the page is being updated as we speak. I was able to dl JS3 and the new kits (yes, pts. 1 & 2 are correct on download). It looks like there are different sections depending on what package you're licensed for.

The JS3 stock kits are the only new ones, is that correct? No reason to download the XL Pak and Jamcussion again?

Thanks-

-Susan

Please, ignore my message, the delivery mail was mistakenly caught in the spam trap. Thanks!

We had some ill-formatted download pages going out but they should all be corrected by now. Let me know if any issues remain.

Susan: there is no need to re-download Paks you already have. The files are identical to the original ones.

Okay, just for my clarification -- I'm sure this is covered somewhere, but it's always confused me a little.

The (XL) in a kit name in the browser means it requires the XL Pak, is that correct? I should just go ahead and install all of the paks I have with the RXP2 extension; the .RXP files are for JS1 and too old to bother with?

And finally, is it safe to just delete the folders for kits I know I won't use just to make the list a little neater for my use?

Figured I'd got all of this out of the way at once! Wink

Thanks again!

All correct. However, if you delete 'kit' sub-folders, they will get re-created if you run a future JS3 updater.

Only if you don't have them installed in JS2.
