I'm fed up with the Ableton live 8.11 memory issue,and want to give Reaper a try out.Does anyone have a Jamstix multi track template for Reaper to have a go on? _________________ EMU 1820M user |

I am a Jamstix newbie but a longtime Reaper user, I was messing with a multi out template for the Standard and the Big Rock kits. I don't see how to attach here so I will post them over on the Reaper forum.

I just posted an update, I was making it harder than it needs to be. Here is the new link.

I had not realized the very cool option in Jamstix to choose pre configured outputs for all kits and so now this template is for separate tracks in Reaper that now matches the choice of 7 multi outputs in Jamstix for any kit you load. (This template should load with the standard rock kit.) |

@big woody
Thanks for this, saved me tons of time - I'm a Reaper noob myself. I'm not able to get the ambience onto the room track. If I switch of send to last in Jamstix I hear the ambience though. |

My pleasure, enjoy Reaper. Two of the key items, one is to send last to mix in order to get the room and to make sure that Down mix is turned off in Jamstix.
BTW, for those reading, Jamstix continues to amaze even though I have only been at it a week or so. A very nice bit of software.

Indeed. I'm a hobbyist having a blast with this amazing duo (REAPER+Jamstix). I don't have lots of time to get wizardy experience so I'll continue to follow this discussion closely...
One of my next goal is to get some CC lanes to control drummer behavior like Mark doing some marching snare on demand. For now I just had fun with Power automation...
I'm even thinking about using my FCB1010 pedalboard to control Mark. Controlling a drummer? Looks too good to be true.

Well, still can't get ambiance on a separate track with Jamstix2 but with Jamstix3 it works like a charm |

Check your number of audio outputs in the mixer section of Jamstix and make sure it is set to 7 (and that you have send to last on which I am sure you already do). I think if you change the audio output settings in Jamstix that you have to save and close the host (Reaper) and re-open).
If that doesn't fix it, click on the 'receives' icon on the 'Room' track in Reaper. That dialog box will show a "receive" from Track 1 "Drum Bus". In the little drop down under 'Audio' make sure that it is set to 13/14. |
