Subhosting in JS3 is done via the kit window as in JS2. Click on the plugin label in the lower/left corner of the kit panel to see a menu for this. |
Thanks!
I could not see the forest for the trees. Will try this out tomorrow. |

I could not figure out how to patch it so I could do this. What am I missing? Host is Sonar 8.5 Also I have been unable to find how to host another program in Jamstix like Session Drummer 3. In JAmstix 2 there was a clear visable way to do this.
Thanks! |
To play via keyboard controller:
Run Jamstix 3 in Sound Module Mode - deselect the active Jam function. (To clarify, make sure Normal Jam, MIDI Jam, Audio Jam are not selected.)
To subhost a vsti:
On the Kit page, click the text "Plugin not selected" at the bottom left of the image of the kit (underneath the chimes).
Both of those evaded my eyes/brain the first time I used JS3, too. |
Tanks for understanding what I wanted to do and supplying a solution. |

Boy that must be a hard one for Ralph to decide.I've had quite a few crashes in Jamstix 3,but that's just most probably my configs, with me running software that isn't compatable with Jamstix 3 right now.I'm sure everyone trying the betas has had the same experience. The problem comes when Ralph decides to release it,and then a magazine reviewer trys it,and reports it being very unstable.Slightly different analogy but look at Toyota.Quite obviously they were rushed into getting these cars into production to soon. Its Ralph's baby, and so far his proved to be an admirable father. _________________ EMU 1820M user |

Bravo! Yes Ralph, take your time to bring JS3 to the point you like to have it. I`ll wait patiently.

Correct me if i am wrong, but i think i saw somewhere that release is scheduled ( if everithing goes nicely) for 1st Quarter 2010. Like everyone say, be patient, and i am sure we will have a very polished product |

The top post says "January 2010", which has passed - hence the question. |

I just opened up a Sonar project and it tells me the Jamstix Beta has expired...... even though it isn't Feb 28th yet, which is the expiration date given on the site.
So I hope the new one is ready soon. |

Well, the first number in my age is a "5" so do I have a valid excuse?
I did not have the latest beta.....just downloaded 13.
I'm wiping and installing Win 7 today, so hopefully everything will come back up ok..... |

Hi there - I currently have JS2 with the stock kits, XL pak and Bonzopak (excellent, by the way!).
When I get the official JS3 release (I've pre-ordered), will the JS3 stock kits replace the JS2 ones, or will I still be able to use the JS2 stock kits in JS3 (in addition to the new sounds)? |

You will be able to use both, JS2 and JS3 stock kits. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
