Is there a DAW that lets you just play bass or guitar, and Jamstix follows your tempo, and not the DAWS tempo,be it tap tempo or a set tempo that I have in Ableton live? _________________ EMU 1820M user |

You can do some very interesting things in a Ableton Live environment. Check this out:
http://www.b-keeper.org/index.html
Or more generally, check this:
http://www.adiginvention.com/
Saw the app last year at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt and it was pretty amazing.
Just didnīt have proper time to test this yet. |

Thanks Doc
human syncronizer.Sounds like a Zappa track from Joe's Garage.Looks like just what I needed (cars track now).As it says on the http://www.adiginvention.com/ website "puts the musician back in charge" of tempo. One of the things I always loved about Hendrix was the way he changed tempo, almost every 2nd bar in some of his jams. What with all this quantization, everythings got a bit robotic. You listen to someone late before quantize become the norm in drum machines, and DAWS,say Stewart Copeland, and his behind the beat. _________________ EMU 1820M user |

Right on, Steve.
I, too will have to check this out very soon.
I would love your drummer to be able to fly in some ambient sounds or noises in Ableton while playing live and not being slave to a click track. |

Hi Folks,
Has anybody tried these in real life?
Ideally, I'd like to just tap a pedal to keep things in sync, like
Ploytec 34oneII
http://www.ploytec.de/34oneII/
But I was hoping for a software solution. |
