I pretty much stopped buying music software, as at this point I already have more than I need, and at some point you have to stop worrying about upgrades and updates and start making music.
But— as is the case for many non-drummer home DAW enthusiasts— drum parts continue to be problematic. I have EZD, and have been using a combination of drawing notes in PRV, playing midi riffs on the piano, and getting help from Groovemonkee loops... but it's still very difficult for a piano player like me to generate drum tracks that are both stylistically and rhythmically together without sounding repetitive.
But after looking at the demo and manual, I've concluded that Jamstix potentially provides the "missing link", and I'm pretty excited...
... Will I get my license key any faster by broadcasting that I'm impatiently waiting for it on the Rayzoon Forum? Seriously, I understand that it's the weekend etc., but hey, maybe it's worth a shot!
FWIW, it was the comments at the Reaper forums that steered me this direction. |
