I'm trying to get my head around how Cymbal Chokes work with respect to BFD2. I've seen the example where the following is in the .ini file:
[BFD2]
CC4=1
CH_15=58
CH_16=15
CH_17=14
The 58, 14 and 14 values make sense to me as they are the default key values for choking 3 of the slots in BFD2.
The part I'm not getting is the CH_15, CH_16 and CH17. They seem to map to the Jamstix cymbal slots for crash1, crash 2 and crash 3, but I can't find this documented anywhere. Is there also a jamstix slot for crash 4 (I would guess CH_18)? What about the 3 splashes, 4 chinas and the ride as well? If so, what are they?
Thanks,
Ron |

Thanks,
That's what I was looking for.
So there is no choke for the Ride?

No, that never crossed our minds. I don't think I have ever seen or heard a drummer choke a ride except for small drum clinics (to quiet the kit after a demonstration). _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Not being a drummer myself I wouldn't know. Thanks for clearing that up.
