Yes. Check the liveloop icon (keyboard symbol) in the song sheet and then place program changes in the JS2 MIDI track in the host where you need parts triggered (1=Part 1, 2=Part 2 etc.)

I guess I misunderstand how this works or it just doesn't work in Live's Session view. This what I did with JS and Live:

2 JS Parts, each 2 bars long to repeat 999x

in Live, 2 session clips to send program changes 1 and 2

    Check the liveloop icon

I expected that when I trigger a clip the associated Part would repeat until I trigger the other clip. What happens is that after 2 bars JS continues to compose new bars instead of repeating the Part

Do you mean JS repeats the part as expected but keeps recomposing it over and over?

That's what it does in Liveloop mode since it is designed for live performers.

Yes, it is. There are many bug fixes to it and some changes, such as all parts, except intro and ending, are now repeated indefinitely in liveloop mode.

Does that mean you dont have to specify a large number of repetitions for a part if in live loop mode
or should I read the manual

PS happy New year and will be ordering JS3 as soon as Ican

i'm trying to test this using 2 parts, each one bar in length

I can't test this because as soon as I turn on LIVELOOP in JS3 it goes silent, I get no sounds at all

is there a new related setting somehere?

drk1: yes, you don't need to set high reps anymore.

politcat: which beta version of JS3 and which host are you using?
