Yes - "unclick" whichever jam button (normal jam, MIDI jam, audio jam) is currently selected. |

Successfully downloaded and installed BetaA2. Created a new edit in Tracktion 2 and added Jamstix 3 to a track. Used Kit tab to load Jazz Kit. Clicked on kit images to audition sounds. De-selected Normal Jam button to check sounds can be played from midi input. All OK.
If I then click on the Normal Jam button, and click Play in Tracktion, I would expect to hear Jamstix playing along. I can see parts being composed in the Timeline, but all the hits seem to be on the same note, and I don't hear any sound.
Not sure if I'm missing something, or have found a bug...

Apologies Ralph. I selected a style and drummer, and now it's fine.
For newer users to Jamstix, would it help if a default kit/drummer /style loaded automatically?

Studio64: when JS3 loads a JS2/3 song, the kit definition is in the file so that is why it works no matter what the folders are (except for the actual sound files). So you only need to copy the JS2 expansion Pak kits if you want to load them manually in JS3. You can use JS2 songs in JS3 without problems. However, using JS3 songs in JS2 may cause problems.
AlanB: a default kit is undesirable for many users. We'll just have to find a way to stress to new users that they needs to at least press 'Create Song' to get started. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

There is a new option 'Send Whole Kit To Output'. If you are in Jamcussion mode then using that option you can send JC to any output you like with one click. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Any chance we can have the shank hits unlocked? I wanted to try mapping SSD & BFD with the additional hit options to see how they perform?

Just go to the kit, select the shank articulations on the hats and route each one to the subhost. You can also use the shank samples from the JS2 stock kit
Finally, use the 'Hihat Shank' drummer control to get JS to use them. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I did that last night, however when I mapped the shank hits and clicked on the Hihat on the kit display they made no sound. I double checked the SSDkey mapings. Is there something that I am missing?

Did you set the MIDI key correctly for the shank hits? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I just thought of something. I used the SSD 3.5 keyboard map. Are the JS2 mappings you created using the v-drum mappings?

nevermind, that shouldn't make a difference. Here's what I did. I loaded the All American kit (keyboard mapping) and keyed the shank hits in manually in the kit piece editor, again using the SSD 3.5 key map as a reference.

I'm at work right now, when I get home tonight I will double check the key maps I have to see if they are correct. Maybe that is the issue.
