I have only used Jamsix for recording it's freestyle jams. I get the impression it can do everythig Slicy drummer and Filler drummer can do.
Is that Right?

I'm not familiar enough with those programs to make that statement.

i have used both slicy and fill in drummer. (I think music lab just combined them into one product)

Slicy and fill-in drummer are cool for what they are. They have a limited # of beats and fills that are midi tracks. You can edit their beats and make midi tracks.

Jamstix is much more comprehensive and feature filled. Jamstix also has built in Midi patterns which you can then change. What make Jamstix great is you can then take these canned patterns and have them brought to life with accents, high hat changes etc like a real drummer.

Aside from that, Jamtsix will play along with you via MIDI or Audio. Take an existing MIDI track and Jamstix will add drums.

I think the new musiclab product is $150. At almost half the price, Jamstix is a no brainer. Check out the demo. Just read the manual to learn about all the features.

Read the forum, the lack of complaining and overflowing praise pretty much speak for itself.
