| Are you still planning to release JS3 on OSX eventually? If we buy JS3 in anticipation of getting OSX when it comes out will that be reality or is OSX now going to be JS4 too, if at all? |

Out of interest, anything extra planned for 'unplugged' or folky styles? |

Dewdman42: JS3 owners will get the OSX version for free, regardless of what it will be called.
Guitarfish: once JS3 is out, we'll finish up our DrummerPak project, which will contain more drummers and styles. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph,
I know you are probably tired at this point of answering this question, but do you have any new info on the current ETA (since Nov is almost over)? _________________ Intel DX48BT2, Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 2.66GHz, 8GB DDR3, Edirol FA-66, Studio One 2, Sonar X3e x64, JS 3.6.0, Windows 8.1 Pro x64 |

We are working hard to have a first beta for JS2 owners out next week. It won't contain all of the new features but it will help us start weeding out any missed bugs. Having the beta out should also ease the pain of the delayed release (at least for JS2 owners) so we can make sure we get this thing finished right. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes. I agree. I'd also like to have some funk drummers like Clyde and Jabo!
Peace \/

hi, Ralph.
i'm making my bi-annual check-in here.
is a Mac version coming out in 2010 still? if so, can you say which half of the year you're predicting?
if you can't answer that question, then will the Mac version be for version 3 or 4?
thanks as always. |

Yeah, I know it's taking way too long but we are continuing toward an OSX version in 2010. I can't be more specific than that at this time. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

thanks, Ralph.
taking way too long?
time is relative.
i bought Jamstix like several years ago (4 or 5, or maybe more) when i had Cubase. i've gone Mac now the last two years so, 2010 isn't that far away, even later in the year.
tempus fugit. before we know it we'll all be in wheelchairs, pooping ourselves and remembering that music we made on computers.
then we'll be dead.
2010 isn't that far away.
thanks. |

Ralph,
Thanks for a remarkable program and great support! I continue to enjoy the product and look forward to the next version. BFD and Jamstix I brag about. Looking forward to more choice in the next version like the ability to tell the brain there are four cymbals and random rotate between them. Thanks again,
Mark |

Convinced my wife JS3 would be wonderful X-mas gift with no shopping necessary!
Looking forward to testing the beta and especially the new 'Jazz' additions when they are released!
Will the 'jazz 'drummer be an "addon" or a download for existing customers?

We are working on various drummer and style models. Some will make it into the final JS3 release and the rest will be released as a separate 'DrummerPak' early next year. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph
I'm not sure if it's too late in the day to suggest a feature? But how about being able to extract from style a midi file or to be more precise from a groove importer midi file. There are certain aspects of other grooves that I would like to incorporate into a beat. Perhaps I could add several groove importers and extract from one then disable or remove the importer, and then move to another importer until I find something that gels...
How feasible is this...? |
