|
|
We have just released the next Jamstix update (Release 0.99C) with the following improvements:
- removed the annoying audio demo reminders. Instead, Jamstix will drop silent for a beat about every 40 to 47 beats with a quiet "jamstix" spoken
- added MIDI Output Channel setting to SOUNDS panel in MAPPING tab to control the channel of the MIDI notes generated by Jamstix
- fixed problem with loops in Tracktion where Jamstix needed a bar before realizing the jump back to the loop start
- fixed "jumping" of the velocity slider under certain circumstances during rhythm changes
- added warning to VST module loader that number of Jamstix outputs must be equal or greater than number of outputs of the drum module or a crash may occur
Happy jamming! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I 've downloaded demo and update but I still get your wife's reminder to buy (beautifully spoken as it is ).How can I 'audio reminder' silence her? Plus,SLEEP it's hard !! ever since I downloaded the demo on friday morning I've been drawn to my guitar and computer to open Sonar and Jamstix and be consistantly amazed at how brilliant your idea is.As said by other people on the forums, you really do have something quite special.I've pre-ordered.I dont know, I'm like a kid counting down for christmas. |

Hi Steve,
thanks for pre-ordering!
Please download this Jamstix Demo DLL, unzip it and overwrite your existing jamstix.dll with it.
Seems that the updater didn't overwrite the file. Let me know if this doesn't work.
We're glad you are as excited about Jamstix as we are. Also, this is just the beginning. We will continually improve Jamstix and can't wait to add its brother JamBace to the mix!
Thanks again _________________ Ralph Zeuner

|
|
| I had to re-install.It didn't want to overwrite and when I went back into Sonar, audio m8 was still there but the connection to Jamstix was missing. It was still in the vst folder in Sonar, but something was amiss with the connection to the .dll.Still 10 mins to uninstall and re-install,so not a disaster. all part of computering extremes really. One sec wonderment next sec monitor out of window to calm down there's a reason for this.It must be me but the problem I found was I couldn't extract in winzip to overwrite the existing file Jamstix.dll.It would show up in windows explorer as Application Extension in a single file.Winzip just wouldn't show Jamstix.dll for me to extract and 'overwrite all existing files'. |

Steve,
I can't let you play that old demo, man
We will release another demo update in a few days and we'll send you a uncompressed copy of the DLL for manual replacement. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
