| Hi, I have the latest update beta and I can't seem to find the Steven Slate Drums mapping. I'm not sure what to do from here. I subhost the Kontakt 2 player after Jamstix and all I hear is kicks and nothing else. Help me please. |

The SSD mapping is just for MIDI import. We will provide SSD kits with a fututre update. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Thanks Ralph. It's nice to get a response, which is unlike some other support operations that I could name. Tim |

Is there an ETA for this?
Obviously I need to RTFM, but would there be anything stopping me from doing this myself?
Or would it be super-complicated, requiring Ralph/Steven to collaborate and modify their applications?
My main questions/concerns are these:
1. Do the velocities match up okay?
2. Are there issues with SSD not being able to recognize Jamstix's various "hi-hat" openness percentages?
3. Is Jamstix capable of taking advantage of SSD's 4 or so snare articulations?
4. Once I saw Ralph post on some other board that driving SSD requires changing some sort of setting in a text editor from 1 to 4 (or vice versa)... It had something to do with the hats... What is this?
I'm seriously interested in using these two products in tandem - I'll inject cash into it if it'll speed the process along.
Otherwise, if there are no real showstoppers, I'll dive into the custom map game and share what results.
Responses definitely appreciated. |

The SSD import discussed in this thread is just for import of MIDI files provided with SSD. This has been implemented in 2.5.2.
Concerning SSD subhosting: we are still waiting for our NFR of SSD 3.5 so we can create custom kits.
Velocities are matched up via the velocity map in the kit editor. Articulations supported are limited to what the kit editor offers (snare L,R,side,rim etc.). Hihat openness is controlled via CC so it covers whatever SSD provides. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

OMG OMG OMG it's out it's out it's out! Do you have it yet? Hahaha, this probably isn't going to be your biggest priority, but I'm about to burst from excitement. Sorry! |

| SSD 3.5 is working fine with JS2 except for cymbal chokes. Looks like CCs have changed... any idea how to find which CC refers to crash A choke? |

Update:
Used your old BFD2 settings, Ralph. Didn't work at first so I canged it to
[Kontakt 3]
CC4=1
CH_15=54
CH_16=56
CH_17=14
54 triggers a choked cymbal but not the right one and I hear the regular cymbal first and then the choked sample. With SSD 3 I had real cymbal chokes. Pls help! |

We'll have to wait until we get our NFR copy so we can work on that. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
