Hi Ralph,
Love Jamstix, but I have a problem with routing in Reaper.
I set up Jamstix in a track and then choose my kit and 8 outputs in the mixer. Then I create the outputs to suit. Everything works fine at this point - each track in Jamstix is mapped across in to Reaper okay.
BUT after I restart Reaper, all the Jamstix tracks are now routed in to the main track with the Jamstix VSTi inserted in it.
Everything looks okay, but all channels play through the one Reaper track. I have checked the Downmix button and it is unselected.
Help?!

Is the output routing in REAPER still correct after the restart (Outs on each track)? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Yes - it looks absolutely fine. The matrix still shows 1-1, 2-2, etc. |

| I'm at work at the moment - I'll send it to you tonight if that's okay? I have tried several different files from new and get the same effect. |

I looked at your file but I have to honestly say that I'm not REAPER-savvy enough to figure this out quickly. My gut says that this must be a REAPER config issue. I recommend you post in the REAPER forum where there are several active Jamstix users. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
For your info it's all sorted now - a couple of pointers from the Reaper forum and a bit of playing around came up with two issues.
1) I had Jamstix installed on track 1 with 8 'routed' tracks following and had promoted track 1 to be a folder track. Reaper didn't seem to like this. Instead I inserted Jamstix on track 1 had an empty track 2 as a folder track, with tracks 3 - 10 inside this folder track all routed from track 1.
2) Even though Jamstix mixer said 8 outputs, all drums were coming out on the first (track 3 above). I reselected 8 outputs on the 'kit' screen and all the tracks started routing properly again!!
Now when I save Reaper and restart everything is okay. |
